Base Salary
$165k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve embedded software architectures and technical roadmaps for complex, mission-critical airborne products.
- Lead model-based design, model-based systems engineering, and model-driven development practices.
- Translate customer and mission needs into executable technical strategies in partnership with business, program, systems, hardware, and technology leaders.
- Guide technology investments, assess emerging technologies, and support product-delivery planning.
- Improve design quality, traceability, simulation, verification, and reuse through model-based approaches.
- Provide architecture guidance, coaching, standards, and reusable engineering practices to engineers and technical leads.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field plus at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing embedded software architectures for real-time, safety-critical, or high-reliability systems.
- Experience leading model-based design, model-based systems engineering, or model-driven development practices.
- Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs, influence decisions, and align technical and business stakeholders.
- DoD Secret security clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.
