Base Salary
$165k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve embedded software architectures for complex, mission-critical airborne products.
- Define technology roadmaps and assess emerging technologies to guide technical investment decisions.
- Lead model-based design, model-based systems engineering, and model-driven development practices.
- Translate customer and mission needs into executable technical strategies.
- Partner with customers, business leaders, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program teams.
- Provide architecture guidance, coaching, standards, and reusable engineering practices to engineers and technical leads.
- Explain technical tradeoffs, influence decisions, and build alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing embedded software architecture and technical roadmaps for complex, mission-critical products.
- Experience with real-time, safety-critical, or high-reliability systems.
- Experience leading model-based design approaches that improve design quality, traceability, simulation, verification, and reuse.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and meet eligibility requirements for classified information access.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Strong communication, strategic leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
