Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify acquisition and investment opportunities aligned with Datadog’s strategic priorities
- Lead all pre-transaction technical due diligence from product and architecture perspectives
- Evaluate product fit, technical architecture, quality, risks, and open questions
- Create or locate test loads and establish trial, proof-of-concept, and sandbox environments
- Develop post-acquisition integration paths and strategic roadmap recommendations
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, startups, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists
- Represent Product and Engineering in initial product discussions and identify potential targets
- Communicate findings and recommendations to strategic and C-level leadership
- Serve as a subject matter expert on valuation and integration
- Support transactions through completion and help carry integrations forward
Requirements
- Experience in product development, solution architecture, or engineering
- BS, MS, or PhD in a STEM field, or equivalent experience
- Broad understanding of cloud technologies relevant to infrastructure, APM, security, analytics, and AI/ML
- Deep understanding of Datadog’s current product offerings
- Ability to prioritize testing goals using value and risk assessment
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects in resource-constrained environments
- Strong communication, creative thinking, and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize feedback, facts, and comparisons across similar applications
- Ability to build and maintain relationships that facilitate deal flow
