Responsibilities
- Architect, construct, and maintain automated security guardrails and secure-by-default development paths.
- Guide development teams on secure coding practices and architecture during early design phases.
- Develop continuous and automated security assessment capabilities at business-unit scale.
- Contribute code for security fixes and paved-path solutions alongside engineering teams.
- Build scalable self-service security tools for independent risk detection and remediation.
- Implement preventive and detective security controls for ongoing assurance.
- Drive security strategy with stakeholders and participate in periodic incident-response on-call rotations.
- Use AI technologies and methodologies to improve threat detection and security evaluations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting systems, analyzing logs, and automating complex tasks with command-line tools.
- At least 5 years of experience identifying security vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with scripting, software development, and security-focused code reviews.
- Expertise in recognizing industry-standard vulnerabilities, threat-vector patterns, and remediation techniques.
- Leadership or guidance experience as a technical lead, mentor, or engineering team lead.
- Proficiency with threat modeling and comprehensive risk-identification methodologies.
- Experience securing microservices, service-oriented architectures, and web services.
- Experience with identity-provider servers and authentication protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML.
- Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with strong ownership and accountability.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows and agents is preferred.
- Ability to advocate for security standards with clarity and empathy is preferred.
