Base Salary

$131k - $178k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own automation solutions from discovery and design through build, deployment, testing, adoption, and maintenance.
  • Design UI/UX frontends and workflows for tax-planning processes.
  • Script business logic and provision AWS resources.
  • Set up data pipelines and ETLs.
  • Run integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Monitor usage and operational excellence metrics.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of tax-planning workflows, dependencies, inputs, and user challenges.
  • Train and mentor tax professionals on technology tools and best practices.
  • Collaborate with FinTech, IT, and technology partners to translate tax needs into requirements and deliver workflow-compatible solutions.
  • Help define the technology roadmap and landscape for the Tax Planning & Restructures organization.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in application or infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
  • At least 4 years of experience in relevant technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • Knowledge of AWS services.
  • At least 4 years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • Direct tax experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm, with exposure to compliance, planning, provision, restructurings, or related workflows for large multinational or technology companies.
  • Experience using programming and query languages such as Python, SQL, or Power Query to automate tax processes.
  • CPA, JD, or LLM is a plus.
