Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable ecommerce solutions using Java and SAP Commerce (Hybris).
  • Own platform reliability, performance, scalability, monitoring, and production-support issue resolution.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Deliver ecommerce features and enhancements with emphasis on security, performance, and reliability.
  • Integrate ecommerce platforms with SAP ERP, payment gateways, CRM systems, and third-party services.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce architecture standards, engineering best practices, and quality guidelines.
  • Mentor and guide development teams while coordinating with architects, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Define implementation processes, quality gates, and development standards, and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of ecommerce and backend software development experience using Java.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), including architecture, data models, and core modules.
  • Experience designing and integrating APIs and web services, and working with microservices architectures.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and enterprise development practices.
  • Proven ability to lead development teams and coordinate across IT and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in high-pressure production-support environments.
  • Preferred: experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
  • Preferred: exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, or Node.js.
  • Preferred: knowledge of DevOps practices, automated deployments, and SAP Commerce Cloud certification.
