Responsibilities
- Set and own quality and reliability strategy across backend APIs, contracts, native iOS, and Android clients.
- Design testability, release-confidence gates, store-deployment pipelines, device and OS-version coverage, and large-scale flakiness controls.
- Drive cross-team resolution of quality and reliability issues and contribute hands-on through code, prototypes, tooling, reference implementations, and incident response.
- Shift quality ownership into the development workflow and influence teams before implementation begins.
- Mentor engineers, lead knowledge-sharing activities, and co-lead the OneTech community.
- Define quality and reliability metrics and communicate technical risk in business terms to engineering and product leadership.
- Set AI adoption workflows and governance standards, assess AI risks and data security, mentor engineers, and report on AI ROI.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with Staff, Principal, Tech Lead, or Architect-level impact beyond a single team.
- Hands-on commercial experience testing native mobile applications on at least one mobile platform, iOS or Android.
- Experience setting quality and testing standards, designing quality strategy, and measurably improving outcomes.
- Proven shift-left experience and experience leading technical and process change with development teams.
- Strong ability to read, review, and write production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience using and critically assessing AI in engineering or testing workflows.
- Fluent English.
- Experience with BrowserStack and GitLab CI/CD is a strong plus.
- Experience with snapshot testing, such as swift-snapshot-testing or Paparazzi, and mock-based testing standards is a strong plus.
- Logistics or e-commerce industry experience, Polish fluency, Appium familiarity, AI engineering/testing workflow experience, and ISTQB Advanced Level – Test Automation Engineer certification are nice to have.
