Base Salary

$129k - $292k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable AI/ML systems for public health mission applications.
  • Architect generative AI solutions, including AI agents, MCP-enabled workflows, and RAG pipelines.
  • Define AI evaluation frameworks for benchmarking, retrieval optimization, safety validation, and production monitoring.
  • Design agent architectures involving memory, state management, orchestration, and structured or unstructured data interaction.
  • Integrate Codex, Claude, OpenEvidence, Prompt Buddy, and other AI tools into enterprise workflows and platforms.
  • Establish data governance, privacy, anonymization, documentation, ethical AI, security, and compliance standards.
  • Shape enterprise AI strategy, architecture standards, delivery practices, and technical direction across engineering teams.
  • Manage or provide technical leadership to data engineers, architects, product owners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions with Python.
  • At least 5 years of experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or RAG systems in enterprise environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience with AI agents, MCP frameworks, or AI evaluation strategy development.
  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch for production model development.
  • Experience with PySpark, SQL, Palantir Foundry, Foundry AIP, and technical team management.
  • Experience with MLflow and cloud environments such as Azure or Databricks.
  • Experience integrating or working with Codex, Claude, Prompt Buddy, or OpenEvidence in enterprise settings.
  • Knowledge of public health, healthcare, or government data systems and related governance practices.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Preferred experience includes healthcare, biomedical, or government public health AI/ML environments; open-source LLMs such as LLaMA, Gemma, or Phi; conversational AI; chatbot systems; full-stack AI applications; containerization; CI/CD; production MLOps; Jira; AI governance and compliance; and retrieval, ranking, or decision-support systems.
  • A master's degree in computer science, data science, AI/ML, or a related field is preferred.
