Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise AI adoption by partnering with business units and cross-functional technology, security, legal, compliance, procurement, and product teams.
- Translate business problems into AI-enabled designs involving agentic workflows, LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, automation, decision support, and AI-assisted engineering.
- Evaluate AI vendors, foundation models, cloud AI platforms, agentic tools, orchestration frameworks, and emerging capabilities through hands-on testing, proofs of concept, benchmarks, and technical assessments.
- Create decision matrices, evaluation criteria, technical scorecards, and recommendations covering fit, cost, performance, security, scalability, reliability, compliance, and responsible AI.
- Design reusable agentic frameworks, reference architectures, design patterns, prompt strategies, orchestration flows, integration models, and enterprise AI adoption standards.
- Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and technical accelerators that validate business value and provide a path to production.
- Define guidance for vendor integrations, APIs, model selection, data access, observability, guardrails, evaluation, and deployment.
- Provide hands-on engineering leadership across cloud platforms, enterprise systems, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and DevOps environments.
- Mentor engineering teams, create enablement materials and adoption playbooks, and influence executives, architects, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 15 years of software engineering experience, including leading, designing, implementing, and operating distributed systems and large-scale architectures.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software with Python, Java, or comparable object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures, and applying cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Preferred experience evaluating and implementing AI solutions from multiple vendors, including foundation model providers, cloud AI platforms, AI coding tools, agentic platforms, orchestration frameworks, and enterprise AI products.
- Preferred experience with AI adoption strategy, rapid prototyping, agentic frameworks, prompt strategies, tool-calling, RAG, workflow automation, human-in-the-loop models, benchmarking, and production-readiness planning.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineering teams and delivering enterprise-scale AI, cloud, platform, integration, or distributed-systems solutions.
