Responsibilities
- Learn and communicate how Metronome addresses challenges in modern monetization stacks.
- Plan, build, and run customized Metronome demos for engineering, product, operations, finance, and other buyer personas.
- Conduct discovery to understand prospect challenges and requirements.
- Travel globally for prospect workshops, conferences, and on-site meetings.
- Support and land deals with startup and enterprise SaaS customers.
- Run proofs of concept with clearly defined success criteria.
- Represent Solutions Engineering independently as a deal-team member.
- Scope technical implementations to support successful post-sales outcomes.
- Design integrations between Metronome and prospect systems.
- Advise on pricing and packaging and contribute to future product direction.
- Build relationships with prospect stakeholders from operators to C-suite executives.
- Develop and improve go-to-market playbooks and processes.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in technical or customer-facing roles involving SaaS products, such as engineering, solutions, technical account management, or consulting.
- Academic background in a technical area is sought after.
- Exceptional communication skills across technical, go-to-market, and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt in fast-moving startup environments, and take ownership of tasks.
- Interest in building and improving go-to-market playbooks and processes.
- Preferred: knowledge of quote-to-cash, including Salesforce, NetSuite, and CPQs.
- Preferred: experience as a software engineer, product manager, or in another technical role.
- Preferred: experience in a pure sales role, especially selling to technical engineering and product buyers or as an early startup salesperson.
- Preferred: familiarity with logs, metrics, billing, finance, infrastructure, or financial tooling and concepts.
