Responsibilities
- Build and own backend services and optimization algorithms for real-time energy asset data processing.
- Develop frontend dashboards that enable battery operators to monitor and control assets.
- Design and scale cloud infrastructure supporting thousands of battery systems.
- Deploy production-ready optimizations and iterate using real-world feedback.
- Collaborate across the team to define product features and requirements.
Requirements
- Up to five years of work experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering, completed no earlier than 2023, with a grade better than 2.0.
- Full-stack fluency with React and TypeScript on the frontend, Next.js preferred, and Python on the backend.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS.
- Strong grounding in mixed-integer optimization, ideally including production deployments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup under three years old with fewer than 50 employees.
- Fluent or near-fluent German.
- Genuine interest in the energy sector; prior energy industry experience is a bonus.
- Evidence of high achievement beyond standard employment, such as selective extracurricular involvement or founding experience.
- A semester abroad at a strong university is a plus.
Benefits
- Salary range of 70,000 to 100,000 EUR annually.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
- On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, five days per week; no remote arrangement is available.
