Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture of telemetry, streaming, simulation, and enterprise software systems.
- Design and build high-volume time-series telemetry ingestion with preserved timestamps, units, quality, and ordering.
- Architect streaming systems for throughput, backpressure, replay, recovery, and delivery to analytics, simulation, monitoring, and enterprise consumers.
- Support simulation and modeling platforms through campaign management, compute scheduling, and reproducible results management.
- Build full-stack services and web interfaces and integrate commercial systems of record through REST, GraphQL, and event-driven interfaces.
- Design data models, interfaces, and access boundaries for consistent, auditable engineering, manufacturing, test, and quality records.
- Establish deployment, observability, testing, on-call, and software quality standards for a regulated environment.
- Use and help govern AI coding agents and assistants, including verification of generated work.
- Set technical direction, lead design and code reviews, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience writing and deploying production software, including significant platform or major-system technical ownership.
- Experience designing and operating high-volume telemetry or time-series systems for instrumentation, testing, industrial, vehicle, or comparable applications.
- Experience with high-volume streaming and event-driven architectures, including throughput, backpressure, ordering, and replay.
- Experience with simulation, modeling, scientific computing, batch or distributed compute, and reproducible results management.
- Experience building full-stack services, web interfaces, and integrations with commercial systems of record.
- Proficiency with both typed languages such as Java, C#, Go, C++, or Rust and untyped languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Track record of driving architecture and technical decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud and containerized deployment, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and data modeling.
- Production experience with AI coding agents or assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, including verification of their output.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: experience in hardware, manufacturing, aerospace, energy, or heavy industry; industrial protocols; HPC or GPU computing; regulated or quality-controlled environments; PLM, ERP, MES, LIMS, or document-control integrations; Git, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud and on-premises deployment; LLM and agent applications; and growing software teams.
