Director, Architect Principal - Digital Messaging

Responsibilities
- Define and drive the target-state architecture for the Digital Messaging platform, including event-driven, cloud-native, and SaaS-integrated solutions.
- Design highly scalable and resilient distributed systems using event streaming architectures with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Design and develop AI agents by defining agent goals, tool use, memory, and orchestration logic.
- Mentor development teams and promote software engineering best practices.
- Lead adoption of AI-based tools and development processes across the organization.
- Partner with enterprise architects and other stakeholders to establish architecture policies, standards, and governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with significant architecture and distributed systems design experience.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents using LangChain, Copilot Workspace, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience modernizing legacy applications.
- Ability to define and communicate strategy and vision and influence across the enterprise.
- Progressive experience supporting highly available, mission-critical environments.
- Expertise in analyzing global-scale distributed systems and solving complex problems.
- Experience working in large enterprise organizations is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
