Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UX, and SRE teams to define requirements and design features, components, APIs, and microservices.
- Lead feature development from discovery through production, including design, implementation, code review, testing, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Make technical decisions balancing product needs, engineering quality, performance, security, and delivery constraints.
- Develop software for SaaS and on-premise products.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical feedback, design discussions, pairing, and knowledge-sharing.
- Participate in continuous improvement within an agile delivery team and support an on-call rotation for a multi-tenant SaaS product.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on development experience delivering major features for products with complex user workflows.
- Product-minded engineering approach that balances technical constraints, scope, customer needs, and business goals.
- Experience using AI-assisted workflows across software development activities such as design, code generation, testing, refactoring, and code review.
- Strong Java development experience and knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with Spring or similar Java frameworks.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming APIs, ideally in a microservice architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployment environments.
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Beneficial experience includes Cassandra or other distributed NoSQL databases, Kafka or other event-driven messaging technologies, Jenkins or similar CI/CD tooling, Unix-based environments, Kotlin, IAM, JMeter, React, Angular, and production SaaS support.
