Responsibilities
- Own complex, end-to-end feature delivery while managing commitments and reducing cycle time and rework.
- Design scalable, extensible systems and interfaces while balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop AI-assisted software engineering workflows using prompt and context engineering, and rigorously review AI-generated code.
- Apply defensive and secure coding practices across authorization paths, edge conditions, and system limits.
- Partner with Product Management and Design to create intuitive user flows using prototypes and telemetry.
- Drive production incident root-cause analysis, reduce MTTR, and implement durable fixes.
- Run technical experiments, document design patterns and tribal knowledge, and mentor and uplevel engineering peers.
- Influence technical strategy through architecture decisions, RFCs, cross-functional alignment, and engineering vision.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications with MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js.
- Proven experience architecting, deploying, and operating scalable solutions in AWS.
- Expertise in prompt and context engineering and the use of AI tools in software development, including verification of AI outputs for correctness and security.
- Strong system design experience, including clean APIs, complex codebase refactoring, and long-term scalability trade-offs.
- Extensive experience debugging complex production services, conducting root-cause analyses, and implementing systemic prevention mechanisms.
- Ability to work productively through ambiguity and changing requirements while maintaining business alignment.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering partners, write clear RFCs, and mentor without formal authority.
- Preferred experience with IAM, PAM, IGA, or Secrets Management platforms; TypeScript; Jest, Playwright, or JMeter; progressive delivery; CI/CD pipelines; feature flagging; monitoring frameworks; and RAG-oriented documentation and prompt templating.
