Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer materials based on functional requirements.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide technical feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, debug, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services and distributed systems.
- Improve existing codebases, identify system-quality issues and patterns, develop standard operating procedures, and conduct code reviews.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and customer support to resolve technical issues and deliver solutions.
- Investigate and apply relevant technologies, participate in architecture and code reviews, and contribute to additional projects.
- Lead or mentor other developers and drive technical direction across cross-functional initiatives.
- Apply AI-native practices, automation, LLM capabilities, and engineering toolchains to improve software development and operational productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Java full-stack development.
- At least 10 years of experience with Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 8 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and mission-critical, low-latency solutions.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented with Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Knowledge of software security-enhancing tools and practices and at least one shell scripting language.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, automation, AI modernization, and engineering toolchains.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Ability to work across business strategy, product strategy, technical architecture, detailed design, and implementation while leading cross-functional work.
