Responsibilities
- Partner with national security and intelligence customers to understand mission objectives and develop technical concepts and solution designs.
- Design, develop, and deploy secure solutions using Microsoft cloud, AI, and security platforms.
- Build custom applications, data pipelines, backend APIs, services, and system integrations in restricted environments.
- Move solutions from concept through prototype to production while iterating with customer stakeholders.
- Apply secure-by-design, Zero Trust, identity and access, data protection, compliance, reliability, and monitoring practices.
- Collaborate with Microsoft product and engineering teams and provide post-deployment hardening and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Python engineering skills and experience with cloud or infrastructure technologies, software development, architecture, consulting, or related technical solution work.
- Working knowledge of machine learning and large language models, with preferred experience delivering AI, data, or analytics solutions in production.
- Preferred experience with Python, REST APIs, microservices, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, SQL databases, Pandas, NumPy, React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with government, intelligence, national-security, restricted, regulated, or classified environments is preferred.
- Ability to satisfy Microsoft background checks and customer or government security-clearance requirements, including enhanced DVe vetting.
- Must be a British citizen and currently living in the United Kingdom.
Benefits
- Typical base pay is £61,900.00–£105,500.00 per year, with certain roles potentially eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- Customer-facing hybrid role with approximately 50–75% on-site work, including customer environments in Cheltenham, Manchester, and London.
