
Senior Vice President – Front Office Equities Engineering (Full-stack)

Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of trading, sales, and operations workflows.
- Build flexible, scalable trade-flow software supporting diverse client-side and OMS-side integrations and high-throughput scenarios.
- Collaborate with Product, Trading, Operations, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to a modern, high-performance technology stack.
- Drive AI-enabled automation, code refactoring, developer productivity, and system-efficiency initiatives.
- Write well-designed, testable, secure, and performant code; conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards.
- Provide second-level production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and participate in incident resolution and post-mortems.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote continuous technical growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering real-time, scalable, and resilient software applications in financial services or similarly complex, high-throughput domains.
- Deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, and ORM frameworks.
- Proficiency with Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and component-based UI architecture; working knowledge of jQuery.
- Experience with relational and analytical databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, including data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data management.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, and the FIX protocol, plus event-driven and asynchronous system design.
- Understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies and the ability to deliver amid shifting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, cross-team coordination, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
- Familiarity with AI coding and productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or Claude Code.
- T-shaped engineering capability is preferred, with deep backend or frontend expertise and broad familiarity across the stack.
