Base Salary
$161k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and own vehicle dynamics models for simulation and autonomy validation.
- Design and maintain high-fidelity simulation platforms for autonomous driving software.
- Collaborate with autonomy engineering teams to capture vehicle model requirements.
- Communicate model capabilities and limitations to support autonomy validation.
- Ensure model updates do not regress system performance using automated regression frameworks.
- Execute software development lifecycle activities primarily in C++ within a Linux environment.
- Perform root cause analysis on simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing issues.
- Design test plans for data acquisition and telemetry.
- Support system-level test plans and verification strategies.
- Build relationships with OEM partners and simulation tool vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field plus 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 3+ years, or a PhD plus 1+ year.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in ROS/ROS2 and Linux.
- Experience in physics-based modeling of ground vehicles.
- Knowledge of AV autonomy stack architecture for effective collaboration.
- Experience with unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Ability to drive consensus across multiple engineering teams.
- Advanced-level professional with independent judgment and minimal supervision.
- Willingness to mentor and guide engineers.
