Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions for LLM inference acceleration and serving.
- Contribute across the product lifecycle from early research and development through commercial deployment.
- Plan, manage, and deliver large commercial software projects.
- Work with serving frameworks such as vLLM and develop software using PyTorch.
- Execute, analyze, and optimize neural networks, including multimodal and reasoning models.
- Write high-performance software for multicore systems using C++ and Python.
- Analyze software and hardware performance across multicore and SoC architectures.
- Perform performance modeling of SoC architectures and evaluate machine-learning accelerator software.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively in written and verbal settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree plus 7+ years; or a PhD plus 6+ years.
- A later general qualification states a bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years, a master’s degree plus 5+ years, or a PhD plus 4+ years of software engineering or related experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Commercial software delivery experience spanning design, compiler technology, performance modeling, and bottleneck analysis.
- Experience with serving frameworks such as vLLM.
- Strong development skills in PyTorch and strong understanding of LLMs, multimodal models, and reasoning models.
- Experience optimizing neural networks and writing high-performance multicore software.
- Understanding of multicore processor and SoC architectures, including cores, caches, memories, buses, PCIe, and NoCs.
- Experience with machine-learning accelerators, neural-network operators, linear algebra, and math libraries is highly desired.
- Master’s-level study or background in Computer Engineering, Computer Networks and Systems, or Computer Science is desirable.
- Equivalent experience may be considered if the candidate can demonstrate the ability to fulfill the role’s principal duties and competencies.
