Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, and support custom IP analysis applications for patent attorneys and engineers.
- Build full-stack analytics tools for analyzing patent portfolios, inventions, technology, and financial data.
- Develop applications using Java, Python, Angular or React, Spring, Hibernate, databases, search platforms, and messaging systems.
- Integrate internal invention and patent management systems with global patent offices.
- Automate legal-team processes, internal systems, business workflows, and other operational processes.
- Build and deploy cloud applications using AWS and Jenkins to support high availability.
- Mentor and guide the team on development standards, design practices, code reviews, and compliance.
- Collaborate with business partners, analysts, project managers, attorneys, engineers, and team members on functional and technical requirements.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience with highly reputed organizations.
- Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Python, Groovy, Spring, and Hibernate.
- Strong full-stack development experience, including user-interface development with Angular or React and related web technologies.
- Experience building cloud-native software, preferably with AWS.
- Experience designing and developing data models using relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience building solutions with Apache Solr or Elasticsearch.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, software development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Experience with BDD or TDD, product development, unit-testing frameworks, deployments, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
- Equivalent experience may be considered when candidates can demonstrate the ability to fulfill the role’s duties and competencies.
