Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI-powered capabilities using large language models, with emphasis on context management, reliability, and customer value.
- Build retrieval-augmented generation solutions using Azure Cosmos DB and semantic search.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development practices and tools to improve engineering productivity, quality, and delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to develop scalable technical solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AI approaches, share knowledge, and contribute to the team’s long-term technical direction.
- Maintain standards for security, privacy, Responsible AI, operational excellence, and service reliability.
- Pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing, developing, or operating production software systems or services.
- Experience developing applications or services using large language models, retrieval systems, semantic search, or other AI/ML technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred hands-on experience with LLM context management and optimization, RAG solutions using Cosmos DB and semantic search, and agentic development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
