Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, direction, and subject matter expertise across engineering initiatives.
- Guide prioritization, engineering progress, technical strategy, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the design and development of complex software architecture, systems, and platforms.
- Mentor, coach, and provide direct feedback to engineering staff while acting as the reporting line for junior and intermediate engineers.
- Develop and maintain Kami’s application and codebase, including high-quality, tested, secure, and maintainable code.
- Build scalable, reliable, and secure systems across frontend and backend technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, customers, and other cross-functional partners to discover requirements and shape solutions.
- Analyze multiple implementation approaches, establish testing frameworks, and evaluate outcomes for ambiguous problems.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience developing web-based applications for users globally.
- Deep fluency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including large single-page applications.
- Strong experience with frontend frameworks or libraries such as React, AngularJS, and VueJS.
- Experience with backend tools such as Rails, Rust, and TypeScript.
- Strong product sense and the ability to work with customers on bespoke solutions.
- Experience developing high-performance code and profiling with Chrome Developer Tools.
- Ability to learn and adopt new technology quickly.
- Strong communication, engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
