Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of software engineering, including inception, coding, testing, delivery, and operation.
- Develop high-quality, clean, maintainable code for customer care and telesales systems.
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members.
- Work across various infrastructure layers and integrate with the METRO ecosystem.
- Interact with users to understand and characterize their needs and advise them when necessary.
- Support systems and processes for repairs, warranty handling, incident management, customer communication, resource coordination, and service requests.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience building and running complex containerized web applications in the cloud.
- 12+ years of programming experience in a high-level language such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, or JavaScript.
- Experience with and commitment to CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, including GKE, Cloud Armor, and networking.
- Experience with React and microfrontend architecture, preferably Module Federation.
- Ability to work independently and reliably and to form and express opinions in discussions.
- Very good written and verbal fluency in English.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Cassandra, Kafka, Solr, Terraform, Kotlin, TypeScript, or production AI agents is preferred.
