Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable mock backends, APIs, proof-of-concept applications, and demo infrastructure.
- Use LLMs and Generative AI, including Claude and Gemini, to accelerate prototyping and development.
- Design contract-first REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Deploy demo infrastructure on AWS and manage reproducible environments with Terraform.
- Use PostgreSQL or DynamoDB for persistence and integrate mock services with frontend components.
- Partner with pre-sales consultants to turn client win themes into working technical artefacts and occasionally present demos to clients.
- Collaborate with frontend, design, and product teams on UI direction, integration debugging, and end-to-end demo flows.
- Mentor the pre-sales team on API design, architecture, engineering standards, and GenAI workflows.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
- Deep experience using LLMs and Generative AI to build applications, debug issues, and accelerate development.
- Experience designing clean, documented REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience using Git and GitHub workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS primitives and the ability to deploy infrastructure using Terraform.
- Practical knowledge of OIDC-based authentication flows.
- Ability to translate ambiguous client requirements into working systems with initiative and autonomy.
- A portfolio or track record of internal tools, sales demos, or high-fidelity AI-first proof-of-concepts is advantageous.
- Understanding of global energy retailer challenges and experience sharing UX/UI design thinking are advantageous.
