Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and implement software features and reusable components.
- Develop microservice-oriented software and write efficient, testable code.
- Perform unit and integration testing and verify that acceptance criteria are met.
- Analyze performance, reliability, code metrics, requirements, system risk, and software reliability.
- Investigate and correct anomalies and problems.
- Review code and provide guidance to other engineers on maintainability, performance, and security.
- Participate in projects from initial concept through launch and advise the product owner on technical decisions.
- Improve development velocity through AI-assisted testing, automated deployment pipelines, and LLM-augmented code reviews.
- Assess security and reliability implications of software design decisions and collaborate with security teams on best practices.
- Communicate identified risks and participate in incident response and remediation with infrastructure and security teams.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in microservices development with Golang, Kotlin/Java, and Spring Boot.
- At least 5 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks, including React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, with the ability to critically evaluate, refactor, and own AI-generated code.
- Experience operating within Agile/Scrum delivery cycles and using AI tools to improve development velocity and documentation quality.
- Strong alignment with the company’s stated core values.
- Cloud experience with AWS or Azure is preferred.
- Cybersecurity experience is preferred.
- Startup experience is preferred.
- Bilingual English and French skills are preferred.
- Working proficiency in English is required.
- Preference is given to candidates residing in Quebec.
