Responsibilities
- Develop navigational features and embedded real-time software for flight guidance systems.
- Create requirements, software designs, architectures, and feature definitions.
- Code for real-time operating systems using multiple programming languages.
- Perform software integration, testing, verification, and validation.
- Produce certification artifacts and support regulated aerospace software development.
- Provide customer support and generate innovative solutions to technical problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- At least 1 year of embedded software engineering experience using C/C++ and assembly.
- At least 1 year of experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance and meet U.S. export-control requirements.
- Preferred experience with embedded real-time software, board support, drivers, embedded applications, scalable architectures, low-level I/O drivers, and ARM or FPGA SoCs.
- Preferred proficiency with Deos, RTOS, Linux, or another real-time operating system.
- Preferred experience with CAN, A429, and A664 communication or network protocols and multithreaded or rate-task architectures.
- Preferred experience in certified or regulated safety environments such as DO-178 or MIL-STD 883.
- Knowledge of software configuration and change management practices, including Git, Bitbucket, and Jira, is valued.
