Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the client-owned in-house integration platform and product.
- Design reusable integration components and services using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
- Build microservices, APIs, Camel routes, route templates, Kamelets, and enterprise integration solutions.
- Integrate cloud services, databases, enterprise applications, and messaging platforms.
- Deploy and support applications in Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS environments.
- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, production support, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering quality controls.
- Collaborate with distributed teams, lead design discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional Java development and enterprise integration experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.
- Experience building integration platforms, middleware products, or reusable integration frameworks.
- Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, and/or AWS.
- Experience with SQL, JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases such as Oracle.
- Knowledge of Git, automated testing, and CI/CD delivery practices.
- Experience or knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and OWASP-aligned development is preferred.
- Experience with Apache Camel route templates, Kamelets, Camel 4.x, Kafka, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, OpenTelemetry, Open Policy Agent, JBang, JMeter, SonarQube, Splunk, ELK, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder collaboration, design leadership, and mentoring skills.
