Base Salary

$172k - $229k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop efficient, user-friendly simulation and analysis tools for autonomous driving technology.
  • Build local or cloud-based execution runners that support parameter overrides and reruns of the autonomy stack against recorded logs.
  • Develop GUI debuggers and web-based or native 2D/3D visualizers for frame-by-frame behavior inspection and re-simulation.
  • Collaborate with planning and controls engineers to understand requirements for simulation and analysis tools.
  • Continuously improve and optimize tool performance and functionality.
  • Develop robust solutions based on the needs and pain points of autonomy engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of software development and testing experience, preferably in the automotive or gaming industry.
  • Strong proficiency in C++, including development of high-performance and resilient systems.
  • Ability to navigate and contribute to large, complex codebases where modularity and documentation are important.
  • Passion for autonomous driving and understanding of the stakes involved in deploying software that interacts with the physical world.
  • Experience with game engine development, planning and control systems, high-throughput data performance optimization, or Qt development is a bonus.
