Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to software engineering staff through development, testing, and implementation.
- Design and develop APIs, full-stack applications, migrations, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using React, Angular, and Node.js in collaboration with UX teams.
- Build code libraries and APIs using Python and Java with Spring Boot.
- Develop AI solutions using AWS Bedrock and related services.
- Create data models for applications and databases and design technical specifications from business requirements.
- Develop or review automated unit, component, and scenario test protocols.
- Apply secure coding, testing, access control, and secure deployment practices.
- Complete installation and maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Mentor or guide less experienced software development staff.
- Participate in software design meetings and remain current on web development standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required for the specific job level.
- At least 7 years of software development experience.
- Experience with Python, .NET or Java/Spring, JavaScript, and Python development technologies.
- Experience with OAuth2, JWT, JWS, JWE, JWKS/certificates, signing, and encryption.
- Experience with OpenAPI Specification 3.0, Swagger, and API documentation tools such as Postman.
- Experience with the OpenShift container platform and microservices development.
- Experience developing RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Experience with source code management tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira, or Git.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Experience with software security platforms such as Snyk and remediating security vulnerabilities.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with React or Angular, AWS or Azure, test-driven development, automated testing, people management, and AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor is preferred.
