Responsibilities
- Architect and build proofs of concept and engineered solutions across control, edge, and IT layers.
- Own software architecture and technical design decisions for software-defined automation solutions.
- Develop solutions, APIs, and product plugins using Python and C#/.NET, and containerize them.
- Build AI agents and automated workflows and apply AI across design, coding, and testing.
- Co-own lab infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, including servers, devices, networking, and infrastructure automation.
- Review code, mentor engineers, and establish engineering practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and standards and convert findings into actionable solutions.
- Write tests, verify and validate solutions, and present results with clear documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Computer Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Expertise in Python or C#/.NET and fluency in the other.
- Strong software design skills, including architecture, design patterns, REST APIs, and automated testing.
- Strong DevOps skills with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure automation.
- Comfort working with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and TCP/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience applying secure-by-design principles in IT/OT environments.
- Clear communication, mentoring, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with OPC UA or Redfish is preferred.
- Experience building and operating custom AI agents or automated workflows, including agent SDKs, MCP, or CI-integrated automation, is preferred.
- Experience with orchestration and system management tools such as Kubernetes, Barbara, Zabbix, or SNMP is preferred.
- Exposure to industrial automation or OT systems is preferred.
