Responsibilities

Design and implement backend services and APIs for trading, clearing, settlement, and reporting workflows in LATAM markets.
Own features end to end, including requirements refinement, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
Build integrations with exchanges, clearinghouses, market data providers, and internal global platforms using FIX, REST, messaging, and file-based protocols.
Develop data pipelines and reconciliation processes for regulatory and internal reporting.
Contribute to architecture decisions, ADRs, runbooks, integration specifications, and build-versus-buy evaluations.
Improve observability, automated testing, CI/CD maturity, reliability, and operational automation across owned services.
Participate in code reviews and establish standards for code quality, security, and performance.
Support production incident response, root-cause analysis, and preventive follow-up.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and serve as a technical reference for a domain or group of services.
Coordinate with distributed teams across the US, UK, and Asia, including collaboration across time zones and in English.

Professional software engineering experience with demonstrated senior-level ownership of production systems.
Strong proficiency in at least one of C#/.NET, Java, or Python, plus solid working knowledge of a second language.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, query tuning, and data modeling.
Experience designing and consuming APIs and integrating distributed systems.
Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQ; messaging, streaming, and event-driven patterns.
Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and monitoring or observability tooling.
Professional working proficiency in English and fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred experience in financial services, capital markets, brokerage, clearing, asset management, exchanges, or fintech.
Preferred knowledge of trading lifecycles, post-trade operations, market data, risk, FIX, and LATAM market structure and regulations.
Preferred experience with regulatory or financial reporting pipelines, data reconciliation at scale, Terraform, performance-sensitive system design, and global matrixed organizations.

Full-time Monday-to-Friday position with an indefinite contract.
Hybrid work arrangement with four days in the office and one day working from home.
