Responsibilities
- Build and launch AI-powered developer tools for automated PR review, code-quality gates, test generation, and codebase-aware agents.
- Integrate developer tools with Slack, Git, CI/CD, IDEs, and internal platform workflows.
- Develop prompt and context engineering, structured outputs, tool calling, RAG, agent workflows, evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and observability for AI-powered systems.
- Build reliable testing, code-analysis, security-scanning, merge-blocking, and policy-driven delivery workflows.
- Measure cycle time, review load, defect rates, AI adoption, developer satisfaction, and ROI to guide technical priorities.
- Set technical direction and drive adoption of internal developer tooling while balancing delivery speed, quality, security, and governance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production services, internal platforms, or developer tooling.
- Advanced Python proficiency and working proficiency in at least one additional language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience building CI/CD integrations, PR bots and status checks, CLIs, code-analysis pipelines, IDE integrations, or internal developer platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, LLM and agent engineering, RAG over codebases, evaluation harnesses, and production AI features.
- Strong knowledge of GitHub or GitLab APIs, webhooks, branch protection, required checks, review comments, risk scoring, and merge policies.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, AI-assisted test generation, test-data creation, coverage strategy, flaky-test management, and CI integration.
- Practical experience with code-quality and application-security tools such as SonarQube, Semgrep, CodeQL, ESLint, Ruff, SAST, dependency scanning, secret detection, supply-chain controls, and policy-as-code.
- Ability to build regression suites, model-output quality measures, human-review paths, logging, metrics, tracing, and failure-analysis workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include production experience with AI code-review or agentic coding tools, agent frameworks, risk-based automation, developer productivity measurement, regulated environments, and large monorepos or multilingual codebases.
- Must be using AI in the current role or a personal project.
