Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Google WAN features in network operating systems.
- Drive OpenConfig adoption across Google Global Networking Technology platforms and the broader industry.
- Design and develop decentralized infrastructure for running network applications.
- Design and develop innovative network applications that materially affect Google’s network behavior.
- Collaborate with the broader ecosystem to validate vendor features and deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of programming experience in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- At least 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Experience designing and delivering network and routing software.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working in complex, matrixed organizations involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
