Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend applications and services.
- Implement efficient data structures and algorithms using Java collections, multithreading, exception handling, and design patterns.
- Develop, execute, maintain, and improve automated test suites and frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, RestAssured, and Cypress.
- Automate testing for REST and GraphQL services and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot application and test failures, investigate root causes, and resolve defects.
- Optimize application and test automation performance, including test parallelization and automation efficiency.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and cross-functional teams on planning, technical discussions, defect reviews, and delivery.
- Ensure solutions are secure, testable, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with software development best practices.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, core Java concepts, and backend application development.
- Hands-on experience with QA automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, RestAssured, and preferably Cypress.
- Experience testing and automating REST and GraphQL services.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with code reviews, debugging, defect resolution, performance optimization, and collaborative software development.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with equivalent relevant education and professional experience considered.
- Preferred qualifications include database integration and data validation, cloud-based test execution, reusable automation frameworks, secure API testing, and experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Relevant training or certifications in Java development, testing, API testing, CI/CD, Agile delivery, or related technical areas are preferred.
