Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve scalable Java backend applications, services, and REST APIs.
- Integrate backend systems with frontend applications and third-party services.
- Write clean, reusable, efficient code and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot backend issues, resolve defects, and optimize service performance.
- Implement application security and data protection measures.
- Write tests and technical documentation, and collaborate with QA, product, and frontend teams.
- Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and other team collaboration sessions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Java backend development experience.
- Experience building APIs and backend services.
- Experience working in microservices or service-based environments.
- Proficiency with Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, MySQL, Git, and Maven or Gradle.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and REST APIs.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant Java certifications are preferred.
- Preferred knowledge includes PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ, AWS, Azure, GCP, JUnit, Mockito, OAuth2, JWT, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
