Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and improve large-scale backend platforms, service domains, APIs, integrations, workflow orchestration, and distributed systems.
- Provide technical leadership across platform architecture, modernization, scalability, performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Establish engineering standards, architectural guardrails, reusable frameworks, developer tooling, and platform capabilities for multiple engineering teams.
- Contribute hands-on through solution design, coding, code reviews, technical decisions, and resolution of complex engineering challenges.
- Drive DevSecOps, automated testing, observability, SRE practices, resilience engineering, and secure-by-design engineering.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, engineering, and business leaders to deliver customer and business outcomes.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders while promoting ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and full-cycle engineering practices.
Requirements
- Deep experience designing, building, and operating large-scale backend platforms and distributed systems with end-to-end ownership.
- Proven technical leadership in domain-driven design, service decomposition, platform modernization, and cloud-native service ecosystems.
- Strong experience with AWS, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, Kafka, EventBridge, serverless technologies, and modern integration patterns.
- Experience with platform engineering, engineering standards, reusable frameworks, developer tooling, and capabilities that accelerate delivery across teams.
- Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, SRE practices, resilience engineering, and secure-by-design principles.
- Hands-on software engineering capability, including coding, code reviews, technical decision-making, and solving performance, scalability, and reliability problems.
- Full-stack and full-cycle engineering understanding across backend platforms, user experiences, data, infrastructure, and operations.
- Experience using AI-powered engineering practices, automation, and developer productivity tooling to improve software quality and delivery outcomes.
- Ability to influence engineering strategy, mentor senior technical staff, and lead through complex transformation environments.
- Experience with several listed technologies including C#, .NET Core, Python, Java, React, Next.js, AWS, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and the other platform, testing, observability, security, messaging, and database tools described in the posting.
