Responsibilities
- Lead solution architecture and design for Appian applications delivered to Singapore Government and statutory-board clients.
- Define and govern Appian data models, CDT structures, relational database designs, and security models.
- Design and review SAIL interfaces, process models, Records, Sites, and Task Reports for enterprise-scale performance and maintainability.
- Architect external integrations using Integration Objects, connected systems, web services, and APIs.
- Direct the design, development, and governance of custom Appian plug-ins.
- Lead requirements workshops and translate government policy and business requirements into end-to-end Appian blueprints.
- Own Appian environment strategy, installation, and server-side configuration guidance across development, testing, staging, and production.
- Establish Appian DevOps practices for packaging, deployment pipelines, version control, and environment promotion.
- Run Appian HealthCheck reviews, analyze logs and performance issues, and drive remediation before audits or go-live.
- Provide technical governance in architecture, security, and VAPT reviews and mentor developers on Appian and agency standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on Appian development or architecture experience and 10 years of overall IT experience.
- Experience with Appian 20.x and later, including Process HQ, AI Skills/document extraction, and Robotic Process Automation where applicable.
- Advanced SAIL scripting skills and deep experience with CDTs, including nested and versioned data types.
- Extensive experience designing Task Reports, Records, and Sites for enterprise deployments.
- Experience with Appian security groups, role maps, security inheritance, records-level security, and role-based access control.
- Experience integrating external systems through Integration Objects, connectors, web services, and APIs.
- Experience developing and governing custom Appian plug-ins.
- Knowledge of relational data modeling and RDBMS concepts, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Understanding of Appian installation, server-side configuration, environment architecture, troubleshooting, HealthCheck reports, and enterprise DevOps practices.
- Appian Certified Associate Developer, Senior Developer, and Lead Developer certifications.
- Prior Singapore Government or statutory-board project experience and knowledge of public-sector governance, Smart Nation guidelines, GCC 2.0, data residency, VAPT, and audit requirements are strongly preferred or advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder communication, architecture presentation, documentation, prioritization, and client-engagement skills.
