Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design governance for Appian applications serving Singapore Government agencies and statutory boards.
- Define Appian data models, CDTs, relational database designs, security models, SAIL interfaces, process models, Records, Sites, and Task Reports.
- Architect external integrations using Integration Objects, connectors, web services, and APIs with government and whole-of-government platforms.
- Direct custom Appian plug-in design and governance where out-of-the-box functionality is insufficient.
- Lead requirements workshops and translate policy and business requirements into Appian solution blueprints.
- Own Appian installation, environment strategy, server-side configuration guidance, and deployment across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Establish Appian deployment, version-control, environment-promotion, and audit-oriented DevOps practices.
- Run Appian HealthCheck reviews, analyze logs and performance issues, and drive remediation before audits and go-live.
- Provide technical governance for architecture reviews, security reviews, VAPT cycles, and government deployment approvals.
- Mentor developers and enforce Appian and agency-specific coding and design standards.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of hands-on Appian development or architecture experience and 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- Experience with Appian 20.x and newer capabilities such as Process HQ, AI Skills/document extraction, and Robotic Process Automation.
- Advanced SAIL scripting skills and deep experience with CDTs, including nested and versioned data types.
- Extensive experience designing Task Reports, Records, and Sites for enterprise-scale deployments.
- Strong Appian security expertise, including security groups, role maps, security inheritance, records-level security, and role-based access control.
- Proven experience integrating external systems through Integration Objects, connectors, web services, and APIs.
- Experience developing and governing custom Appian plug-ins.
- Knowledge of relational data modeling and RDBMS platforms including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Understanding of Appian best practices, design patterns, installation, server-side configuration, environment architecture, logs, HealthCheck reports, and enterprise deployment tooling.
- Appian Certified Associate Developer, Senior Developer, and Lead Developer certifications.
- Prior delivery experience for Singapore Government ministries, agencies, or statutory boards and knowledge of applicable public-sector governance, security, data-classification, and GCC requirements are strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting security assessments, VAPT remediation, audit evidence preparation, and restricted government operating environments.
- Strong communication, client engagement, stakeholder-management, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
