Base Salary
$69k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, records, sites, integrations, and expression rules.
- Build and maintain Appian Connected Systems and Integration Objects for data exchange with financial systems, Federal platforms, and internal applications.
- Develop reusable components, data types, and expression rules to improve delivery speed and code consistency.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with configuration analysts, business analysts, and subject matter experts.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, demos, retrospectives, and other Agile delivery activities.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution.
- Optimize application performance through query design, caching strategies, and Appian best practices.
- Create technical documentation covering designs, APIs, and deployment procedures.
- Support application packaging, environment promotion, deployments, and release validation.
- Mentor junior developers on Appian practices, design patterns, and Federal acquisition domain knowledge.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a Tier 2 background investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or 3 additional years of relevant IT experience in lieu of the degree.
- 3–7 years of software development experience, including at least 1 year of Appian or low-code platform development experience.
- Experience developing applications with low-code/no-code platforms or business process management tools.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, object-oriented programming concepts, and database design.
- Proficiency with web services, APIs, or system integration development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to code quality and maintainability.
- Preferred qualifications include Appian Associate or Senior Developer certification, Federal modernization experience, Federal acquisition knowledge, advanced SQL, Java, JavaScript, Python, Azure, REST, SOAP, data migration, ETL, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, UX, and Section 508 experience.
