Responsibilities
- Build, integrate, deploy, evaluate, monitor, and optimize AI/ML capabilities supporting mission and business workflows in AWS GovCloud.
- Design scalable AI/ML architectures and translate operational use cases into services, APIs, integration patterns, and production applications.
- Develop reusable Python modules, services, utilities, and automation for data processing, inference, evaluation, and system integration.
- Design and implement Generative AI and RAG workflows covering document ingestion, parsing, chunking, embeddings, indexing, retrieval, prompting, and inference.
- Integrate foundation models and approved large language model services with enterprise applications and mission data sources.
- Evaluate model and retrieval quality, response relevance, groundedness, hallucination risk, and overall solution effectiveness.
- Implement prompt management, model routing, orchestration, safeguards, and validation mechanisms for reliable and authorized outputs.
- Collaborate with application, data, cloud, cybersecurity, and mission teams while documenting architecture, model behavior, interfaces, dependencies, deployment, and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with Generative AI, foundation models, RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, semantic retrieval, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation.
- Experience with supervised or unsupervised machine learning, feature engineering, model training, and model selection when traditional ML is in scope.
- Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps lifecycle-management practices and experience developing automated model and application evaluation frameworks.
- Familiarity with responsible AI concepts including model limitations, bias evaluation, explainability, traceability, and human oversight.
- Experience deploying containerized workloads and microservices.
- Experience working in government, defense, regulated, or other security-sensitive environments.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified AI Practitioner and AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty.
