Observability Architect – Dynatrace

Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise observability gold standards for applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, databases, APIs, Kubernetes, containers, and business services.
- Lead enterprise Dynatrace architecture, deployment, configuration, implementation, rollout, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Define deployment strategies for OneAgent, ActiveGate, Kubernetes monitoring, cloud integrations, and application instrumentation.
- Build and validate dashboards, alerts, service flows, dependency maps, application health views, and monitoring standards.
- Architect and implement Dynatrace integration with ServiceNow ITSM, Incident Management, Event Management, CMDB, and Service Mapping.
- Design event ingestion, filtering, correlation, enrichment, routing, deduplication, severity mapping, automatic incident creation, and closure workflows.
- Establish operational monitoring, alerting, anomaly detection, noise-reduction, health-check, and incident-investigation standards.
- Conduct hands-on Dynatrace proof-of-concepts and technology evaluations and produce technical recommendations, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
- Create governance frameworks, onboarding checklists, certification standards, technical workshops, and enablement for engineering and operations teams.
- Partner with application, cloud, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, and ITSM teams to drive observability adoption.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, application monitoring, SRE, DevOps, or observability.
- 4+ years of hands-on Dynatrace experience, including Dynatrace SaaS, Application Observability, Infrastructure Monitoring, enterprise architecture, and implementation.
- Strong experience with Dynatrace–ServiceNow ITSM/Event Management integrations and ServiceNow Incident Management, Event Management, CMDB, and Service Mapping.
- Hands-on experience with OneAgent, ActiveGate, Kubernetes monitoring, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, logs, metrics, service flows, topology, dashboards, SLOs/SLIs, synthetic monitoring, RUM, APIs, and automation.
- Experience leading enterprise observability implementations in large, distributed application environments.
- Experience developing enterprise architecture standards and reference architectures.
- Experience working directly with customers and senior technology stakeholders.
- Dynatrace certification is preferred.
- ServiceNow certification or implementation experience is preferred.
