Responsibilities
- Architect and build a highly available agent platform with distributed orchestration, state and memory persistence, event-driven execution, and a high-performance Python SDK.
- Design and operate tool and connector services, including MCP servers, gRPC endpoints, and integrations with internal data stores, microservices, and external APIs.
- Build low-latency model gateways with connection pooling, failover routing, semantic caching, and rate limiting.
- Implement platform-level security and governance through RBAC/ABAC, isolated data boundaries, PII detection pipelines, and audit logging.
- Optimize distributed execution for latency, SLA compliance, and compute costs while implementing distributed tracing and custom metrics.
- Create developer-facing platform tooling and clear API contracts for engineering teams across the company.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with advanced Python proficiency and backend system architecture expertise.
- Experience building asynchronous microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, distributed state management, containerized systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building or extending agentic runtime frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain.
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, vector databases, Redis caching, and event-driven messaging with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience designing API contracts and platform tooling for other engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
- Preferred: expertise in LLMOps, model routing, load balancing, capacity planning, cost and latency optimization, and high-volume LLM workloads.
- Preferred: experience designing scalable RAG pipelines over large-scale heterogeneous data lakes.
- Preferred: experience setting up distributed tracing and custom APM dashboards.
