Base Salary

$74k - $83k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute functional, integration, manual, and automated test scenarios for automotive features.
  • Implement and maintain automated tests, scripts, tools, and processes for distributed electrical, infotainment, and embedded vehicle systems.
  • Review requirements for testability and estimate testing work during sprint planning.
  • Log test results and defects in JIRA, debug failures, determine root causes, and validate corrective fixes.
  • Work with development, systems, wiring, design release, software, and feature engineering teams to reproduce and troubleshoot defects.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of hardware quality problems and software defects.
  • Participate in system design, documentation, code reviews, and testing for vehicle programs.
  • Maintain hardware laboratory nodes using corrective and predictive maintenance processes.
  • Improve testing coverage, automation capability, velocity tracking, and debugging processes.
  • Support testing for chassis, powertrain, ADAS, OTA, and upcoming automotive programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with emphasis on control systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience in dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with data analysis, scripting, and modeling and simulation of dynamic systems using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools and methods including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and tools for automotive software development.
  • Experience with C or C++.
  • Subject matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
  • Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
  • Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, OTA updates, and test bench construction.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, interpersonal, task-management, and teamwork skills.
