Base Salary

$131k - $178k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical engagement and success of customer implementation projects.
  • Define cloud implementation architectures and respond to customer RFPs.
  • Design and create AWS cloud computing architectures for State and Local Government and Higher Education customers.
  • Provide technical design, architecture guidance, presentations, whiteboarding, and thought leadership.
  • Advise customers on application and service construction, operations, observability, management, and security.
  • Develop AWS technology expertise and serve as a subject matter expert on application and service security.
  • Work with sales, business development, system integrators, and solution providers.
  • Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge across the AWS Solutions Architect community.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
  • 4+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • Technical presentation experience, including whiteboarding and small- and large-group presentations.
  • Experience with web services development and deployment, cloud computing, and multiple technologies.
  • Experience with website or services operations, observability, management, and security.
  • Ability to travel 30%.
  • Preferred qualifications include public-sector, state or local government, AWS, software or Internet industry, cloud migration, and AWS development/operations experience.
  • Preferred knowledge includes AWS services and infrastructure and security requirements such as HIPAA and CJIS.
