Base Salary
$82k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, integrate, verify, and validate system-level simulations within aerospace project life cycles.
- Develop simulation concepts of operations, use cases, requirements, architectures, interfaces, facilities, infrastructure, and models.
- Write and automate simulation test plans and present test results to customers.
- Develop real-time hardware interfaces, integrate legacy software models, and develop new software models.
- Integrate 3D visualization tools and maintain an in-house real-time software framework.
- Lead or work independently with small multidisciplinary engineering teams and serve as a system modeling and simulation subject matter expert.
- Triage, debug, and resolve software and hardware integration issues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- 7–10 years of systems engineering or related experience.
- Professional software development experience in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Significant experience with C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Ability to quickly understand and integrate software APIs.
- Experience developing systems involving human factors, UI/UX, and usability tradeoffs.
- Knowledge of aerospace systems and related sciences.
- Preferred: proficiency in C/C++ development in Linux using Bash, GCC, GNU Make, and GDB.
- Preferred: experience with communications protocols, hardware drivers, GNC systems, 6DOF dynamics, customer test-result presentations, and engineering team leadership.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
