Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build highly scaled, efficient solutions using AWS technologies and infrastructure.
- Own and maintain business-critical systems supporting fulfillment-center associates and customer orders.
- Design and develop distributed systems that orchestrate workcells, machines, robotics, and associates.
- Participate in scoping, design, development, testing, delivery, and operation of software products.
- Analyze large volumes of data to optimize fulfillment flow and throughput.
- Collaborate with Product, Science, Operations, and technology partner teams to refine solutions.
- Contribute to frontend, backend, data analysis, and internal-tool initiatives as needed.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Modernize existing and legacy systems and upgrade their capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
