Responsibilities
- Define the technical strategy, global architecture, and long-term roadmap for Kaluza’s release ecosystems and centralized developer tooling.
- Design and scale systems that reliably move software from source to production across engineering domains.
- Embed automated deployment, release, testing, SRE, and AI-enabled practices to improve delivery speed, safety, and reduce toil.
- Establish and continuously improve company-wide DevOps standards, frameworks, DORA metrics, compliance, and auditability.
- Own the strategy for deployment platforms and infrastructure-as-code tooling across secure, scalable, multi-tenant SaaS environments.
- Provide technical ownership, mentorship, and upskilling for engineers across the organization.
- Lead strategic audits and design work while building high-impact proofs of concept for mission-critical release infrastructure.
Requirements
- Deep experience architecting, scaling, and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD frameworks, release pipelines, and internal developer platforms in cloud-native environments.
- Comprehensive mastery of DevOps practices, SDLC automation, and practical use of DORA metrics to improve engineering productivity.
- Proven experience mentoring senior engineering talent, setting technical strategy, and building consensus across multidisciplinary teams.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise administration and GitHubAsCode is preferred.
- Strong developer-focused and data-driven approach to improving developer experience and eliminating toil.
- Experience integrating LLMs into production applications or developer workflows, including prompt engineering, context management, and evaluation, is advantageous.
- Experience introducing AI-assisted developer tooling such as Copilot, Cursor, or Claude and upskilling colleagues is advantageous.
- Enterprise release strategy experience for regulated global platforms, with energy technology, smart-device orchestration, billing SaaS, or high-throughput IoT exposure preferred.
