Responsibilities
- Shape the design, implementation, and ongoing support of WTW’s enterprise AI platforms.
- Establish deployment methodologies and continuous delivery processes for production-grade AI solutions and agent lifecycle management.
- Build automated procedures and pipelines for distributing skills, plug-ins, connectors, and extensions across AI platforms.
- Maintain deployments of AI models within WTW’s hyperscaler environment.
- Embed identity, data protection, content safety, auditability, governance, responsible AI, and security controls into AI platforms.
- Define and implement AIOps practices covering monitoring, observability, security-anomaly forensics, token and quota capacity planning, and workload optimization.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for production AI platform issues, leading investigation, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
- Coordinate technical messaging, implementation guidance, and adoption of new AI capabilities across teams and business lines.
- Identify and lead engineering and operational improvement initiatives across the AI engineering practice.
- Evaluate emerging AI platform capabilities and define adoption strategies and roadmaps aligned to business outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with data protection, model governance, responsible AI, information security, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive technology experience in software or platform engineering for global, enterprise-scale solutions.
- Experience managing Site Reliability Engineering programs for mission-critical systems.
- Experience creating and managing DevOps practices for automated, consistent, and secure deployment in regulated environments.
- Literacy in global compliance constraints such as GDPR and experience navigating regional requirements for centralized enterprise assets.
- Deep specialist knowledge of generative AI, agentic systems, model-provider ecosystems, and enterprise AI engineering patterns.
- Practical experience designing, building, and deploying AI agents using enterprise AI platforms, orchestration frameworks, declarative agents, custom-engine agents, connectors, and extensions.
- Hands-on experience integrating large language models through APIs, including tool use, governed data access, and interoperability patterns such as the Model Context Protocol.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, context design, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, agent orchestration, multi-agent patterns, and skills or plug-in development.
- Experience with cloud-based AI, data, identity, and governance services, ideally including Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, or Microsoft Graph.
- Practical knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, data protection, identity and access management, content safety, and model risk management.
- Familiarity with the EU AI Act, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and operationalizing regulatory requirements through engineering controls.
- Proficiency with DevOps and automation, including continuous integration and delivery, infrastructure as code, and source control.
- Ability to analyze complex and ambiguous technical challenges using multiple information sources and sound judgment.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across technology, business, security, architecture, and vendor teams.
- Experience translating business or product stakeholder workflow needs into AI solution designs, validating outcomes, and delivering practical business value.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, advisory work, design review, and influence across teams, often without direct authority.
- Ability to operate proactively in evolving environments, shape technical recommendations, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
