Responsibilities
- Translate federal agency mission objectives, business needs, and technical requirements into actionable solution designs.
- Engage clients, acquisition teams, program managers, business development leads, capture teams, and technical subject-matter experts.
- Develop technical volumes, solution narratives, architecture diagrams, oral presentations, solution reviews, roadmaps, and implementation concepts for proposals.
- Design secure, scalable, compliant enterprise, hybrid-cloud, cloud-native, and multi-cloud solutions.
- Assess current-state environments and recommend target-state architectures for modernization and migration.
- Guide full-stack application architecture, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and microservices-based architectures.
- Integrate cybersecurity, privacy, risk management, data governance, metadata, data quality, lineage, access controls, and stewardship into solution designs.
- Develop AI-enabled solution concepts covering AI/ML, generative AI, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, decision support, and analytics.
- Identify technical, security, operational, and compliance risks and ensure alignment with federal and agency-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of enterprise or solutions architecture experience with direct federal government contracting experience.
- At least 5 years of direct experience and demonstrable understanding of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services technology environment, programs, and business priorities.
- Demonstrated experience supporting proposals, technical volumes, and compliance mappings.
- Hands-on experience designing solutions aligned with federal cybersecurity and data compliance requirements.
- Strong technical expertise in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, NIST RMF, and enterprise data platforms.
- Preferred: current Secret-or-higher security clearance.
- Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect–Professional, CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or CCSP certification.
- Preferred: familiarity with GWACs, IDIQs, RFP responses, procurement vehicles, and government acquisition processes.
