Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of technical solutions while maintaining quality and managing operational risks.
- Manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, budgets, risks, timelines, and performance outcomes.
- Engage with client executives, technical leads, sales teams, partners, and engineering teams throughout project delivery.
- Own end-to-end software architecture from business requirements and conceptual design through production and evolution.
- Set architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails while providing technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Review and influence implementation quality through hands-on software engineering involvement as needed.
- Develop client and commercial relationships and communicate business needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to hiring, performance evaluations, team direction, thought leadership, and published best-practice assets.
- Travel frequently to meet client and project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience architecting and delivering large-scale, highly distributed, cloud-native systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in at least two modern programming languages, such as Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture and design principles, including microservices, event-driven systems, serverless architectures, APIs, data architecture, scalability, resiliency, multi-cloud, and security-by-design.
- Experience designing and delivering AI/ML or LLM-based business solutions in production environments.
- Experience using AI-native tools to accelerate software engineering outcomes.
- Strong client communication, consulting, presentation, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading diverse teams and adapting to changing technology landscapes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with developers, clients, customers, partners, and executives.
Benefits
- Base salary is listed at $151,500 to $346,000 across US geographic locations and $181,800 to $393,200 in the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento.

- External client-serving roles generally work in person 40–60% of the time over an engagement, project, or year under EY’s hybrid model.
