Base Salary
$55k - $152k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze, prioritize, and remediate application security vulnerabilities and CVEs in Java-based systems.
- Upgrade and refactor Java libraries and transitive dependencies while preserving system stability.
- Design and implement scalable software solutions addressing functional and non-functional requirements.
- Debug and resolve defects with QA, security, and engineering teams across the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews focused on secure coding, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to build, test, deployment, and CI/CD automation.
- Write, test, deploy, maintain, and document software and technical designs.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience developing enterprise applications with Java, including experience with JDK 8 features.
- Experience with Maven and/or Gradle for dependency management.
- Experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in application code and third-party libraries.
- Ability to debug complex issues and collaborate cross-functionally with QA, security, and engineering teams.
- Experience with Jenkins and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Three or more years of relevant or direct industry experience is typical for this level.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable education, job-specific certifications, and experience in lieu of a degree.
